  1. I am very eager to be a UBER partner , however i have the following concerns:

    1. The car is registered under my name, if I register , shall i name it after her or my name.
    2. The gov.t req is only DTI and LTFRB Right. no more BIR and so on…
    3. For LTFRB requirement, will be registering directly to LTFRB or thru UBER?
    4. How much are wi going to pay for LTFRB?
    5. If we wabt to use our own mobile for the software will it cost us anything? how about the wifi charges where is it charge?
When I inquired you have a 400 fee for the cellfon with software and internet conection as rental for a month? is that right?

    6. U heard there a monthly payments being paid to UBER mointhly? is there anY? So what are the fees we need to prepare during the registration? monthly? yearly and so on … other than the 20 percent share of UBER,
5, Do you have a htline numbers where we can inquire ?

    • I invested in few cars & started with Uber with my full time driveras on board(12 hour). well, after just a week, i am finding hard to sustain this business. Currently Uber has no Incentive scheme & paying 5.77 per KM & 2PHP per minute which is too low. given a situation that u got passenger & you drive him 1 hour away covering 15 KM. You will earn total of 246PHP (base fare 40 + 120(60minute*2peso)+ 87( 15km*5.77). now if your driver drive for 12 hours he maximum can make 2952PHP Per day. this is the ideal situation keeping in mind that you not gona have passenger for all 12 hours. you will be wasting time too while waiting for passenger & going towards passenger, Lunch, pee breakups as well. Lets keep it an average of 2500PHP Per day. There are 26 working days for driver so 2500*26=65000PHP Per month the over all collection. Now 20% will be taken by uber for giving you business & 30% will be fuel consumption. Take out all 50% you will be left with 32500PHP. If your driver share is 40% then you left with 19500PHP. So investing 600K for 20K Per month is not a good idea. . If you drive yourself then you can make 30k per month easily. But dont think of making big money. Uber has invested enough to greed us into business. I would recommend that dont go with uber or any other taxi business, its not worth specially you not gona drive yourself. .

      • I agree with you not like grab car they are gving incentives, I also made a mistake, don’t invest in uber and I have been operating for I month and not good an investment, hey uber give us incentives, the 20 percent is a big chunk of our returned income can you lower it down or give us incentives

        Reply
        • totally agree. 20% is too much and the rate is too low. Uber PLEASE increase the rate or decrease your share/give incentives. You are killing the operators 🙁
For newbies out there, not a good investment.

      • You seem to forget that the car you buy is on installment and payable in 60 months . Shelling out 50k as down payment (Wigo) and paying a monthly amortization of 10k on the average will according to your computation earn you about 10k net/ month. A 10k net income on an investment of 50k (DP) seems to me a great investment. Remember you will have 10k per month for 60 months.

    • Hey Admin,

Please give your side on the comments Dinesh, Adonis, Belle and Norman. I am existing Uber partner and i totally agree to their comments. You should do something on our issues as your business partner. Actually, is not 20% your getting from uber driver you increased it to 25% which to big. Give us incentives or force us to stop from doing business with you and push us to transfer to Grab!

  2. I requested uber from my friend’s house and indicated my destination straight to my home. However, i decided to have another friend ride with me and drop her to her house before proceeding to my way home. After dropping my friend, the driver said that he has to end my trip and ask me to request for another booking since my friend’s house was out of way. May i ask if the driver’s approach was the proper way of handling the situation? Was is your policy regarding this matter?

    Reply
    • Uber allows you to make multiple stops. Ideally, the driver shouldn’t have asked you to book another ride. Also, if the system detects that a rider requested the same vehicle consecutively that would be considered fraud and will be handled by the system still as one trip. You need to wait out 20mins before requesting the same driver consecutively.

      • Is the 3 years LTFRB requirement based on calendar years or is it by month.

To clarify, if my car is from February 2012, can I still enroll in December 2015 because 2015 – 2012 = 3 years ?

Or is it the case that when my car is from February 2012, I can not enroll in December 2015 anymore because my car is 45 months old and that is more than 3 years ?

        Thanks in advance,

    • Multiple drops are allowed in Uber. Besides, fare meter is based on distance traveled and time so technically you are paid.

  27. How much the registration fee?

    Reply
    • There’s no fee to register with Uber. Uber only takes 25% service fee from your gross fares when you start driving. However, there is fees for LTFRB TNVS accreditation which costs around Php 5000. But Uber will process this on your behalf and charge you after submission which they deduct from your payout. So there’s no cash out to register and get activated in Uber.

However as per Uber, vehicle activation might be onhold until LTFRB resumes accepting applications. But driver activation (for Uber Match) is still the same.

  30. Hello,

I’m from the South. I just want to confirm if Cash payments in UBER already includes the toll fee? The toll fee from Alabang costs P165, and my driver and I got stuck in traffic for a while. Upon reaching Makati, the amount which flashed on his smartphone’s screen is only P238.

I am not sure if the trip already included the toll fee. The receipt I received via email does not have a break down of the amount so I am unsure if the toll fee is there.

My husband, meanwhile, also paid Cash in UBER but the driver charged him an additional P84 on top of the amount which flashed on the driver’s phone (P195). So my husband paid P300, and asked kuya to keep the change.

So which is it? For cash payments, are the toll fees already included in the bill?

    • Hi Achie,

Yes, toll fees in included to your total fare. You can check your receipt if the toll fee is included. If it is not you can email Uber at

Once your account is activated you can go online and accept trips, just make sure you have submitted complete TNVS requirements.
