Hi, i want to join uber my question is for example, i will be buying a pre-owned car and once i have purchased it what will happen is, i will be acquiring the unit with its CR and OR which the oriiginal owner’s name appears on both documents and my name only appears at the deed of sale. Therefore, when in time that i get an insurance for tne car, it will be under my name. So, the name that appears on the CR/OR and the insurance will not be the same! Since i’m the new owner, it has to be under my name, the said insurance. Will that be okay?
Kindly refer to UberMNLTips’ TNVS FAQ: http://ubermanilatips.com/tnvs-faq-by-ubermnltips/
May we know who instructed you? As far as we know, Uber recommends choosing NCR because Uber’s operations is within Metro Manila
The DTI personnel when we apply for the certificate.
Same here as with Eun. I was instructed to choose region 4-a as My garage is in Antipolo. Hoping you could clarify this ASAP. :'(
Hi Eun,
Maybe it will be fine. Just to be sure kindly email Uber at
Hi! Update about the DTI Certificate. As Per Lou of Uber “Regarding your DTI Certificate, there should be no problems with that if the region you have selected is 4-A as long as Metro Manila is indicated as your area of operation in your TNVS Application Form.”
Thanks for the info! 🙂
For the TIN#, do we need to change it first to “Mixed Income Earner” with BIR before using it on the DTI business name registration?
No need. You can use your TIN as is and update it later
Good day admin, I have finished filling up the form and i have the TRN acknowledgement paper. Still the payment is pending as of the moment because i want to pay it thru DTI teller. i just instructed my husband to pay the fee thru DTI teller because i am currently working abroad. My question is, what should my husband present when paying the fee thru teller? only the transaction reference number? Thanks admin in advance
Good evening Admin.
Still it requires to have a business name even if I will sign up as a PARTNER-DRIVER for UBER? And must be LTFRB Accredited right?
Thank you and God bless you.
Yes.
Hi Admin,
I have reached the step# 17 based from your instruction but I kept on getting a message:
“Your transaction is still being processed. Please give us 5 minutes to complete this transaction. If the problem persists, please contact DTI Philippine Business Registrant at (02) 751-32-57 and inform them of your TRN# xxxxxxx for the status of your transaction. Thank you.”
Did you experience the same issue? Been getting this error message since last night. I tried to call the number indicated but it’s either busy or no one picks up the call. Not sure what to do next. Hope you can enlighten me on how to proceed.
Thanks and more power!
Hi! Were you able to fix this? How? Thanks!
hi! do you guys had problem with dti online payment? seems online payment is not working.
Sometimes DTI’s server fails. 🙁
Same here. It does not proceed with the payment system? Any idea how can we fix this or do we need to go to the DTI office to present the transaction no and pay there?
Sometimes it fails. Yes, you might need to.
Can we pay at any dti branches? Can we present the transaction no instead of manually filling up again the application form? Thanks
use internet explorer instead of other browser. the e-payment facility of DTI is somewhat incompatible with other browsers
Hi! My friend and I will be going into this business, but the car registration is under my name, and we planned that the business will be registered under his name/TIN. Is that possible, as I saw that the TIN that should be used is the one registered to the Vehicle owner (in short, me)?
Kindly refer here:

Can i use my TIN# when i was still employed year2002? If yes, where will i get the TIN Proof of Registration? I only have a copy of my last ITR Payment dated 2002.
Thanks Admin.
You can try and check with BIR. Don’t another TIN, it’s not allowed by law to have more than 1 TIN per individual.
asking lang re the tin, i am currently employeed and I have a TIN, can I use my TIN for this application and pwede bang ang gamit kong name dito sa DTI hindi name ko the initial letters, let says a & r transport at TIN ko ang gagamitin. thank you
Yes
When you apply for BIR, they will still require you for a business permit that you’ll get from your LGU
hi online payment i not working can u just go to dti tellers and pay? pls answer
most probably
after I registered with the DTI the business name using my TIN, may kailangan pa bang documents sa BIR or other govt agencies. thank you.
As an operating business entity, you will need that

Yes
use internet explorer instead of other browser. the e-payment facility of DTI is somewhat incompatible with other browsers
Thanks for the tip Kenneth!:)
If I’m the owner of the vehicle, then I have to apply for TNVS. But I want my mother to be the operator/Uber partner. Can we also register her name for the DTI business registration?
Thank you!
No. TNVS Applicant = VEHICLE OWNER. If you name the DTI business registration to your mother, your LTFRB Application will be denied.
Kindly refer here: TNVS if vehicle not under your name: http://ubermanilatips.com/how-to-get-tnvs-and-ltfrb-accredited-in-uber-if-vehicle-is-not-under-your-name/
himy brother is the owner of the car.
and you said it should be his TIN to use.
will it be me as the partner to put my name on the DTI registration or name din ng kuya ko ang dapat ilagay???
Fill in the required details:
•TIN – gamitin ang TIN na nakarehistro sa VEHICLE OWNER.
•First Name – pangalan mo. -“””””””name ng partner or name ng vehicle owner???”””””””
•Middle name – apelyido ng nanay mob ago sila kinasal ng tatay mo
•Last Name – Apelyido ng tatay mo, or nanay mo, kung single mom siya (kudos to her!)
•Suffix ( if applicable) – Jr., SR., III, II
•Date of birth – birthday mo!
•Citizenship – Filipino, of course
•Sex – male or female – di pwede it’s complicated
•Marital status – single (kahit may jowa ka, single pa rin dapat ang nakalagay ditto), married – kung legal kayong mag-asawa; widowed if your spouse has passed on.
•Email address
•Phone number
•Mobile number
•Residence address
Also, TNVS if vehicle not under your name: http://ubermanilatips.com/how-to-get-tnvs-and-ltfrb-accredited-in-uber-if-vehicle-is-not-under-your-name/
Hi.
What if may dati na kaming DTI dahil may UV express busines kami. pwede po ba yun na din ang gamitin namin for UBER? Thanks
Pwedeng pwede pk
Hi.
Ako na kasi ang nakapangalan sa car na gagamitin namin sa uber ngayon, pwede bang yun dating DTI ang gamitin namin? or dapat akong mag register ng bagong DTI showing my TIN No.? I just want to clarify with your rule above as follows:
“TIN – gamitin ang TIN na nakarehistro sa VEHICLE OWNER.”
Kelangan po ang DTI ay under the VEHICLE OWNER = TNVS APPLICANT. Kung gusto nyo po, ipangalan nyo na lang ang sasakyan sa asawa nyo para pwede gamitin yung DTI at TIN ng asawa nyo. Otherwise, idedecline ni LTFRB ang application.
hi UBER, i just want to know if this is the “terms and condition” requirement mentioned for cpc? pls i need an answer
Here’s UberMNLTips Guide to TNVS and LTFRB Accreditation: http://ubermanilatips.com/ubermnltips-guide-to-tnvs-and-ltfrb-accreditation/
Hello admin.pwede bng gamitin ko yung existing dti permit ko.which im using now with uv express.sa pagkuha ng barangay permit at mayors business permit..tapos same tin sa bir?thks
Hi Im still not done submitting PA Requirements online. im already preparing my cpc requirements. it is stated there that i need this business name. should i do this now even if im not done with the PA Requirements or should i wait till my PA has been approved? thank you
DTI Business Name Registration is a requirement for your PA and CPC.
Hi, I got my DTI approved name with my name initials and full surname. But when I was trying to register to Uber partner, my approved DTI always got invalid. So I tried my full name on it , and it was accepted right away and hot registered as a partner. So this means I need to change my DTI name?
No need to change. Try omitting the periods /special characters when you type it in the field
Thanks for the reply. That’s a relief to hear that I don’t need t change my DTI. However, I already got registered as an Uber partner when I typed my full name as my company name, but the approved DTI as I said earlier is my first name initials and my full surname. I believe I can’t re register anymore. Is this a problem I need to change?
No need. Just pass the DTI registration you have for your TNVS REQUIREMENTS
Hi. Can i used my bussiness permit as insurance agent or apply for another bussiness permit for uber?

Based on what we know, existing businesses has to be transpo related. Kindly confirm with LTFRB
Hi Admin,
1. Since I submitted my complete documents, and Uber will prepare my TNVS application, how long usually it will takes for LTFRB to approve the application and release the PA?
2. If we already have PA and my CPC is on process, can my driver start driving? (given that my driver also submitted his complete documents).
3. And lastly, since TRO was issued, Is uber continuing the process of our TNVS application? para sana when TRO is lifted, for submission na lang yung application sa LTFRB para hindi sana sayang yung time.
Thank you.
Kindly refer to UberMNLTips’ TNVS FAQ: http://ubermanilatips.com/tnvs-faq-by-ubermnltips/
I processed my DTI Permit through SM Business Center.. The copy they have provided me is not colored and I can no longer download my own copy online as have said on this page it can only be downloaded once.
Would there be a problem if the one I submit to you guys is not a colored copy? (silly question isn’t it? just making sure) 🙂
Hope to hear from you soon..
Thanks..
Colored or not is OK
Hi Admin, could I start my application with UBER, with DTI even if mine has no OR/CR yet and just the sales invoice? I heard sales invoice is no longer accepted.
Sales Invoice is still accepted for Uber Partner Registration. Here’s a step by step guide on how to be an Uber Partner. Hope this helps.
http://ubermanilatips.com/how-to-be-an-uber-driver-or-partner-in-manila/
You will need your ORCR for when you’ll need to submit your requirements for CPC application (this is after submitting and getting approval for Provisional Authority). Kindly refer to UberMNLTips’ TNVS FAQ: http://ubermanilatips.com/tnvs-faq-by-ubermnltips/

First of all, it’s just Business Name registration. You can contact DTI support.
Uber active.. wiith dti already… waiting..question do we need to wait for ltfrb accred decision before applying bir permit.. coz april 15 is itr season few months from now, shld we register now in bir even theres no ltfrb yet?…
We think for as long as there’s no CPC Franchise released yet, no need. This is our personal opinion though.
Hi. My business address (Marikina) is different from my government-issued ID’s address (Bulacan). This is to justify to do transport business in region NCR. Is this fine?
This shouldn’t be a problem.
Hello,
I just registered online and pay the fee via gcash, however I noticed that there are typographical errors with some of the information I provided. Is there a way to update the business owner’s name and address through DTI website?
None. I think you should process this directly with DTI.
Hi,
Sa scope pwede bang ilagay ang National instead of regional? since I think pwedeng mag hatid ang Uber sa Laguna or Rizal?
If partnership po paano mag apply? I think ang link to register a name of business.
Kpag Partnership po dapat SEC and Registration NOT DTI.
is travel and tours business name accepted by Uber? or it should really be transport business name?
Travel and tours should be ok po

So incase na mahuli ka and hanapan ka ng kung anoano you can show your DTI permit which is under company car? Tama po ba? Thank you so much. I hope you reply ..

hi admin
what if i have my own business (food) but good for barangay only, do i still need to update my registration?
You might have to because it’s not the same nature of business (food vs transport).
