Good news Riders and Partners, Uber expands to Cavite!
After opening limited coverage in East of Metro Manila Manila (Antipolo area) a couple of months ago, Uber Manila expands to Cavite.
Starting October 10, 2016, Uber now services selected coverage areas in Cavite. Refer to the infographic below to see coverage area of Uber Philippines in Cavite.

Uber Surcharge for Cavite
To make the services reliable for riders and economically sustainable for drivers, some trips going to CAVITE area will be subject to a SURCHARGE of Php 100 on tops of fares and toll fees. This surcharge will only apply to trips that end in the newly-serviced area, Cavite. Refer above for the mechanics of surcharge in Cavite.
- Trips starting from Metro Manila going to Cavite (Area 1 to Area 3) will be subject to SURCHARGE
- Trips from South MM going to Cavite (Area 2 to Area 3), will have NO surcharge.
- Trips from Cavite going to Metro Manila (Area 3 to Area 1), will have NO surcharge.
- Trips from Cavite going to South MM (Area 3 to Are 2), will have NO surcharge.
- Trips within Cavite (starts and ends in Area 3), will have NO surcharge.
Uber Cavite FAQs
Does Uber earn money from the surcharge?
No, the full amount of the surcharge goes to the driver to compensate for the distance of the trip.
How do I know if my destination is within or outside the coverage area in Cavite?
When you enter your destination on the app before hitting the REQUEST button, the Uber Rider App will let you know if the destination is outside of Uber’s coverage area in Cavite.

Will tolls be applicable?
Yes. All applicable toll fees will be added to total fare of your trip before the surcharge.
For toll fees, the driver should pay for this because the toll fees are included in the fare charged to the riders. If the driver doesn’t have enough cash for toll, the rider can pay for it and reimburse it from Uber.
To reimburse your toll fee, go to: Menu > Trips > Past > Select trip > Need Help > I had an issue with my fare >
Is there surcharge for trips coming from Cavite?
No, there is no surcharge for trips coming from Cavite (starting from Area 3 going to Area 2 OR 1, no surcharge). Refer above for the mechanics of surcharge in Cavite.

No, there is no surcharge for trips that start and end in the Cavite (within Area 3).

Unfortunately, Hyundai Eon is NOT accepted by LTFRB. According to DOTC Department Order, accepted TNVS vehicle types are sedan, AUV and SUV. There’s NO engine displacement requirement for TNVS vehicles; however, hatchbacks are currently not accepted.
